Leeds School is in Benson County in northcentral North Dakota on U.S. Highway #2. An athletic cooperative involving Leeds and Maddock is called the Benson County Wildcats. The Leeds area is a sportsman's paradise with world class hunting and fishing. Agriculture is the main industry producing abundant amounts of wheat, canola, corn, soybeans, and several varieties of beans.

Austin Blazer has been selected to attend the 2014 North Dakota Governor's School in Architecture June 1-July 12  at NDSU.

Vocal Music results

Regional music contests were held recently.  Julissa starred and is going to state with her vocal solo "Caro Mio Ben". The banner girls also starred and are advancing to state  with their vocal  performance of "Barter". State Music will be May 3 in Bismarck.

Crop Show Results

Richelle Darling was the FFA and open class winner with her pinto bean sample at the North Dakota Winter Show Crops Show in Valley City. Brett O’Connell and Spencer Follman’s pinto bean sample took second place. Cameron O’Brien took third place in Canola. Leeds FFA showed 21 samples. Dan Stave is the Leeds adviser.


Regional Speech results

LHS Speech team competed in Harvey at the Region Speech Meet. Shelby and Mylie placed 8th in humorous duo. Shelby placed 4th in speech to inform. Mylie placed first in storytelling and state qualified. Arnikka placed 5th in impromptu. Eileen Herman was named region coach of the year. Mylie will be competing at  the state meet in Mandan on April 26.

Mylie earned All-State honors by finishing in the top 20% in 4 different meets.
